The entry-level red 2015 Emilio Valerio is a blend of 60% Garnacha, 16% Merlot, 8% each Graciano, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon from organically farmed vineyards, fermented separately and matured in oak and concrete vats until they were to be bottled. I didn't see much Garnacha character, and the ripe and herbal aromas seemed to dominate. It also had some rusticity, earth, licorice and a touch of leather. The palate revealed some dusty tannins and moderate to low acidity. 41,500 bottles produced and later were bottled in June of 2017.
