Some amber and orange at the edge suggest full maturity. The aromatics of sweet kirsch and black currants intermixed with some cedar and spice box are followed by a fully mature, medium to full-bodied, excellent Chateauneuf du Pape with sweet tannins. Given Guigal’s history of these wines aging for a long, long time, even when they taste fully mature, this wine probably has at least another decade of potential.
