This Coteaux Champenois, very digestible and slightly evolved, develops notes of undergrowth that complement a bouquet dominated by blackberry jelly, peony and spices. Tasting September 2015.

The pinot noir is indulgent in this cuvée, where there is a real background! The griotte comes to titillate the papillae with floral touches of peony; The acidity is always fruity and the whole vivifying. The finish is smooth and digestible, around sour berries.

Light colour with bricking. Open nose blending jammy red fruits and dried fig in Burgundy style. Supple attack framed by fat with a fresh mid-palate. The open fruity aromas show clear-cut expression. Wonderful character and lovely ageing capacity.
