The 2014 Bendigo Estate Single Ferment Pinot Noir is christened Hielo y Fuego, although it only appears on the back label. It's a blend of Clone 115 and Abel, 20% whole cluster, aged in 42% new French oak. Now what about the wine? It's a full-bodied, plush effort, with plenty of black cherry fruit and sous bois complexity, framed by cedar and vanilla. Give it a few years in the cellar to come together if you can, as Rudi Bauer's wines typically age well, and this looks to be another fine effort.
