Icardi's 2014 Barolo Parej is decidedly uncomplicated (when weighed against its peers), but the wine is likable and approachable. It offers an easy and loose interpretation of the appellation, thanks to slightly sweet themes that distinguish the nose and the finish. You get bright cherry, red currant, spice and black licorice. Some 13,300 bottles were produced.
