The nose shows a great depth of blackberry, wet earth and mineral character. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, caressing finish. Needs some bottle age to come together. This shows class. A chateau in evolution. Best after 2007. 8,330 cases made. -JS

Very deep colour, dense, almost opaque. Concentrated black currant nose, rich and sweet, well extracted, but not very complex. This will come, but there is a hint of greenness, despite the rich fruit. Good for the short/medium term. (Tasted en primeur)
